This dog collar is handcrafted and hand-stitched from start to finish with great care for durability, comfort, and detail. The collar features a subtle, hand-embossed pattern that creates an exclusive and timeless look without taking focus away from the leather’s natural character.

Each collar is hand-stitched using traditional saddle stitching (hand-stitched saddle stitch) with waxed thread, a technique known for its strength and long lifespan. The stitching is not only an aesthetic choice, but a deliberate priority for maximum durability compared to machine stitching.

Materials and craftsmanship

The collar is made from Hermann Oak® vegetable tanned leather, known for its consistent quality, strength, and ability to age beautifully. Over time, the leather becomes softer and more supple while maintaining its shape and durability, a leather that only gets better with use.

The embossed pattern adds character and depth, while keeping the leather’s texture and finish in focus.

Details and fit

For extra comfort, the collar is lined with black leather over a core of Plastazote®. Plastazote is used as an inner padding material and is lightweight and water resistant. It does not absorb moisture and retains its shape over time. This construction provides a soft and comfortable lining against the dog’s neck, while keeping the collar durable and suitable for everyday use.

The buckle and D-ring are made from coated brass with a matte black finish. This combination pairs the strength of brass with a more raw, understated look and creates a beautiful contrast to the warm leather. The matte coating contributes to an elegant, modern appearance and is also robust for everyday wear.

The images on the product page are model photos and show a collar in size L. The collar you receive is made to order and will therefore not be identical to the one shown. As each collar is handmade, small natural variations in the leather’s texture, color depth, and finish should be expected. This is exactly what makes each collar unique.
